Duties:
Providing a high quality general surgical service including inpatient, day case and outpatient services, and an emergency on-call commitment.
Assisting consultants in the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff.
Participating in clinical audit.
Contributing to departmental administrative needs.
Attending Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.
Contributing to clinical research.
Teaching & supervision of Junior staff where needed


Person Specification:
MBBS or equivalent
MS of equivalent in General Surgery
MRCS / Part MRCS or PLAB 1&2
Minimum 3 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum of 18months of continuous General Surgery experience
GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)
Efficiency in Teamwork and equally good communication skills
