Duties:
Prevention, evaluation and management of all aspects of renal disease, hypertensive disorders, and fluid, electrolyte and acid base problems.
Assessment and management of patients with acute kidney injury, including management of patients requiring critical care support.
Evaluation and selection of transplant candidates. Pre-operative and post-operative management of complications, including rejection. Long-term follow-up.
Assessment of patients for chronic dialysis and conservative management
Facilitating smooth transfer of patients to community hospitals, tertiary centres, supervising and teaching junior doctors as well as assisting the Consultants with OPD clinics.
Teaching and supervision of Junior Staff

Person Specification:
Full GMC registration with a license to practice
MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent)
Full/Part MRCP (UK) or PLAB 1& 2
Minimum 3 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum 18 months continuous Nephrology experience
Efficiency in teamwork and equally good communication skills
