The Post

The appointees will provide service delivery within the Stroke Service and will be expected to be involved in:

24/7 thrombolysis service
Stroke Unit: hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation care
Early supported discharge service for stroke.
Stroke Ambulatory Care
Stroke Outreach
Acute Medical unit.
General medical on-calls


Person Specification

MBBS or equivalent
MRCP or equivalent
Full GMC/Specialist registration with a Licence to Practise (or be eligible for full GMC registration)
Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in Geriatrics or Neurology
Broad recent experience in all aspects of Stroke including Stroke Thrombolysis and Hyper-acute Stroke Care
Experience of stoke rehabilitation
At least 3 years experience of Acute General Medicne
Consultant level experience
Leadership and Management skills
