Duties:
Provide specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services to patients within the Department.
Undertake clinical shifts in the Department at the direction of the Clinical Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Conduct regular clinical reviews of patients at appropriate intervals with doctors in training ensuring that the patient records (including discharge summaries) are accurately up-dated after review of each patient.
Conduct clinical review and clinical management of patients referred to Outpatient services.
Support and liaise with patients, families, colleagues, midwifery, support staff and external agencies to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care.
Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non-medical staff
Contribute to audits and ongoing research activity


Person Specification:
MBBS or equivalent
MS or equivalent in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
MRCOG / FRCOG or equivalent
Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum of 2 years continuous Obstetrics & Gynaecology experience
Consultant level experience
GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)
Efficiency in Teamwork and superior communication skills
Leadership and Management skills
