Duties:
The post-holder will be a practising nephrologist who will share responsibility for the provision, management and development of a high quality renal service.
To share & take responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of renal disease
This post involves a ward round, reviewing new admissions to the renal ward and providing input into the management of patients with Acute Kidney Injury.
To share responsibility with other consultant nephrologists for the care of the Trust's chronic haemodialysis patients
To contribute to the care of patients following renal transplantation
Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non-medical staff
Contribute to audits and ongoing research activity

Person Specification:
MBBS, MBChB or equivalent
MRCP / FRCP or equivalent
Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum of 2 years continuous Nephrology experience
Consultant level experience
GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)
Efficiency in Teamwork and superior communication skills
Leadership and Management skills
