Duties:
To participate in the joint assessment of new referrals and to perform medical reviews as and when required for patients with Learning Disability and Autism.
To attend CPA reviews as and when necessary.
To attend the daily morning meetings, weekly clinical meeting, service development meetings, business meetings, etc.
To undertake emergency/urgent assessments on behalf of the Consultant.
To participate in Mental Health Act Assessments (if Section 12 approved) if necessary and liaison work with GPs and other professional and non-statutory bodies under the direction of the responsible consultant.
Teaching & supervision of Junior Medical Staff and students


Person Specification:
MBBS / MBChB or equivalent
Full/Part MRCPsych or PLAB 1&2
Minimum 3 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum of 12 months of continuous experience in Learning Disability Psychiatry
GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)
Efficiency in Teamwork and equally good communication skills
